Froxlor not able sending own mails via smtp

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Froxlor ist not able to send its own mails by SMTP. I get the message that this failed by example after creating a new froxlor user.

I can not find any message about this topic in any log. In which log should I find a message?

Wrong. Just Set it in the options.

"I get the message that this failed by example after creating a new froxlor user"

Most Common Problem ist an invalid Sender Mail address, either the one from the settings or the one of the Admin that creates the Mail.

Where is the logfile for errors like this?

Which sender mail address uses Froxlor? From where do it get the address?

i Just told you in the Post above. The Error should be displayed - if not maybe phpmailer did not return anything

I solved it: I have to change the sender adress in the panel settings/admin settings to be the same like the one which I use in SMTP because my server does accept only if it would be the same.

//edit: The logfile for this error is in /var/log/mail.log
