Buster Crashes all 24-48 hours with no known issue

Question

Hey together,

after almost 4 years using Froxlor on a Jessie system and really no issues I installed now 3 times a new Buster image, unfortunatley the server is crashing really random without any informations I can find.

Yesterday Hetzner changed my server, because they also told me this can be only a Hardware bug if the image is almost virgin, but today (and now we took that server live) the Server again crashed, so this can't be a hardware fail then.

We are using just the Hetzner Debian 10.3 LAMP with Froxlor.

Now Froxlor is the restored version from the old server, the crash is also with a plain image and a virgin Froxlor.

Strange is, all Logs I checked are clean, there is nothing happen except that the logs are stopping all at the same time (when it freezes) and they are starting again when I make a hard reset.

This is my journalctl from that time where the crash was. 19:59 I noticed that and restarted the server.

May be somebody from you has an idea how we can figure out how this can happen and may be a solution 🙂

For me it's total not understandable.

Thanks

Jan

Phew, sorry, this can be many things, but i doubt it's froxlor's fault :) But why not contacting hetzner again? If they told you this can ONLY be hardware failure in the first place - I personally never had any issues with debian 10.3. So it's either something weird in the image (don't know whether hetzner customizes) or again hardware (is it really a dedicated root server? I don't seem to find anything with the AMD Ryzen 7 1700X)

Hey,

tonight the server freezes four times 😂

wow and always no logs.

Today Hetzner changed the server again and updated the BIOS because of a known issue from the old BIOS version.

I can’t see the server also anymore on their page, may be to many issues 🤨

I also think it’s not a Froxlor issue and also not a Buster issue, because otherwise there would be something in the logs.

This is from my order confirmation email:

Hey, just a quick information.

After the 4th AMD Server I got a Intel server from Hetzner and they swapped the SSD's from the AMD to the Intel one.

The server is running since 2 weeks perfect now!

AMD Ryzen 7 is the problem,... so never AMD again for me. This costs us more then 60 Workhours this rubbish system from Hetzner 😕

      Hello!

Froxlor is really a great Control Panel. I would like to install this panel and use it on our servers as primary control panel. I used Froxlor on Debian. The problem is I got some viruses on Debian because of some software related vulnerabilities. These problems are not happening when using Fedora, but we would like using Froxlor because it has a simple and clean interface, it is very simple to use and it is very fast, too.

Does anyone know how to install Froxlor in Fedora? (It would be great if someone can post the entire process, installing dependencies and installing Froxlor)

      Thank you very much!

We also want to contribute to Froxlor Developement, I am the executive manager of a web development and web hosting company and we would like to help Froxlor Team. What should we do?

I've installed Froxlor on Debian 8 and followed all of the instructions in the configuration section of the management panel
I've created a new customer and create a domain under them
I've logged in as the customer and created a new email address and made it an account
I've installed afterlogic webmail in the domain's document root
Afterlogic (webmail) gives the error "incorrect username or password" when I try to log in

I've tried adding the account in an email client (mail on windows 10), same error
My DNS and MX settings are correct

It seems like the mail account is just not there, even though it's set up in froxlor

The username and password have been created in MySQL database "froxlor" in table "mail_users"

I don't know what to do next, or even what question to ask
Any suggestions on how I should proceed with troubleshooting
