Und jetzt google bitte einfach mal die Fehlermeldung die du von apache erhälst...das ist ziemlich basic...sowas solltest du als Server-Admin schon können, sonst seh ich da nicht viel Sinn dir zu helfen

Zeichen sind entfernt, aber den 500er erhalte ich trotzdem noch.

Wie du sicher selbst erkennst steht dort kein Fehler...in irgendeiner Error Log steht er...so viele Möglichkeiten gibt es nicht

Wäre noch hilfreich zu wissen, welche Anwendung du da eig. laufen lassen willst.

Symfony 4.2, eine normale index.php läuft. Das komische ist, dass Symfony auf der Hauptdomain läuft, aber nicht auf der Subdomain

Dann poste doch mal die error logs von der domain her.
Aber du weißt, das wir hier im Forum zu Froxlor sind und nicht von irgendwelche andere Webanwendung. 
Aber für symfony gibt es etliche Tut's im Web, bsp auf der Offizielen Seite, https://symfony.com/doc/current/setup.html

Jetzt hab ich es! Es lag an dieser Zeile in der index.php
require __DIR__.'/../vendor/autoload.php';

 

Die habe ich geändert in

dirname(__DIR__).'/../vendor/autoload.php';
