...damit nicht dauernd der Webserver bei einer Fehlkonfiguration abstürzt und somit die Kundendomains nicht mehr erreichbar sind?

richte dir einen zweiten webserver ein, der auf einem anderen port hört und lass dir froxlor darüber ausliefern. Vergiss dabei aber nicht, dass dann einstellungen bzgl. des Froxlor vhosts natürlich nicht mehr berücksichtigt werden können - den musst du dann selbst verwalten
