Ich moechte gern Froxlor auf einer Ubuntu Bionic Beaver Maschine installieren, mit NSS via Mysql.  Da es das Package libnss-mysql-bg fuer Bionic nicht gibt... bekomm ich das trotzdem irgendwie hin?  Hat jemand Erfahrung damit?  Wie funktioniert denn im Vergleich das libnss-extrausers Modul?  Einfach auf Filesystem-Basis statt via Mysql?  Gibt's da Vor- / Nachteile von einem zum anderen?  Danke im voraus fuer die tolle Software und die guten Infos!

nimm doch lieber das libnss-extrausers module, das ist wie du schon sagst auf FS basis, statt Datenbank. Wirkliche Vor-/Nachteile gibts da nicht, die beiden machen quasi das gleiche. Nur hast du bei extrausers keine Abhängigkeit von MySQL, was ich persönlich ganz nett finde. Achte bitte aber darauf, das du die Nutzung von libnss-extrausers in den Froxlor-Einstellungen noch separat  aktivieren muss, damit froxlor weiss, dass es die Dateien erstellen soll.

Und noch eine andere Frage, die evtl etwas off-topic driftet:  Bekommt man Froxlor heutzutage schon komplett automatisiert/unattended installiert?  Also ohne den Web Installer?  Ich hatte neulich was gelesen, dass man das evtl ueber nen Konfig Import/Export hinbekommt.... gibt's da naehere Infos?

Doch natürlich  Froxlors Daten (Kunden, Domains, mailkonten, etc.) sind komplett in der Datenbank und die entsprechenden Dienste und Cronjobs lesen diese von dort aus.

Ansich, ja....habs mit nem Kollegen mal mit einem Ansible-Script hinbekommen. Durch die (recht aktuellen) Möglichkeiten Einstellungen via CLI einzuspielen und dann auch die Dienste automatisiert via CLI einzurichten geht das ganz gut

Help / command line parameters:

--create		lets you create a services list configuration for the 'apply' command

--apply			configure your services by given configuration file. To create one run the --create command
			Example: --apply=/path/to/my-config.json or --apply=http://domain.tld/my-config.json

--list-daemons		Output the services that are going to be configured using a given config file. No services will be configured.
			Example: --apply=/path/to/my-config.json --list-daemons

--daemon		When running --apply you can specify a daemon. This will be the only service that gets configured
			Example: --apply=/path/to/my-config.json --daemon=apache24

--import-settings	Import settings from another froxlor installation. This should be done prior to running --apply or alternatively in the same command together.
			Example: --import-settings=/path/to/Froxlor_settings-[version]-[dbversion]-[date].json or --import-settings=http://domain.tld/Froxlor_settings-[version]-[dbversion]-[date].json

--froxlor-dir		path to froxlor installation
			Example: --froxlor-dir=/var/www/froxlor/

--help			show help screen (this)

-h			same as --help
