Jeff Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 See wiki ?update / upgrade guide? Thanks, do I need to do anything with syscp?
Jeff Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Thanks for the help. Have it installed and running. Is it / was it supposed to import the syscp database? If so it didn't do it. Help? Jeff
d00p Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 not "import" but "use" the old syscp-database. and if it doesn't use it, you didn't follow and/or understand the guide
Jeff Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 not "import" but "use" the old syscp-database. and if it doesn't use it, you didn't follow and/or understand the guide Didn't say anything in the update/upgrade guide about retaining the syscp db. So I can follow the update/upgrade path and not allow the creation of the froxlor DB and update/upgrade the syscp DB, correct? Thanks again for your help.
d00p Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Didn't say anything in the update/upgrade guide about retaining the syscp db. What do you think "saving the userdata.inc.php" is? this is the file where your database-connection-information is stored and therfore, if you copy this file from syscp to froxlor, it will automatically use the syscp-database and its data and upgrade to froxlor. You just have to change the source-folder, which is propably /var/www/syscp/ in your case instead of /var/www/froxlor
