Edit bind dns records on another server (running bind) with froxlor web dns editor

Is it possible to configure froxlor, to edit dns records on dns server, that is not running on the same virtual machine that froxlor web editor is running?

Sure, if you use powerdns, you specify the pdns-server credentials which include the database host that could be something other than localhost - with bind, a bit harder...but possible, for example you could mount /etc/bind/ or wherever you want froxlor to put the generated configs to via nfs from another server. Just a quick thought - was the first thing that came to my mind
