Connectig to mail server from outside (AUTH)

Hello. I will start mentionong that I'm a beginer about mail servers. I have a server configured using Froxlor and when i try to connect from an app to mai mail server (using mail and pass) I can't.

I'm using standard froxlor config for postfix, dovecot and mysql.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Set disable_plaintext_auth = no

First of all, a Look at the logfiles would be good, so you can See error Messages and possibly a cause.

is plain auth enabled? check dovecot config, default is NO

thanks, worked fine. but isn't that a security issue?
