Patch: Secondary DNS with multiple IP adresses

Featured Replies

Hi.

The DNS servers of my domain provider have multiple IP addresses. As the transfer of the zones may be initiated from all IP addresses these must be included in the allow-transfer option of the zones. You can add all IPs manually in the bind configuration or the hostname of the secondary DNS server. If you added the hostname Froxlor would have to get all IP addreses for the DNS servers but Froxlor 0.9.10 and the current trunk version just adds one IP address for each server to the allow-tranfer option.

I attached a little patch against trunk revision 1182 to address this problem.

Kind regards

Kay Zumbusch
