Multiple DB hosts

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got two questions:

1. Is it possible to keep local changes to DNS zonefiles? Normally cronjob will overwrite/destroy them.

2. Is it possible to have different MySQL host for "froxlor" database and for users (customer) databases?

Thanks.

In my opinion and know how about froxlor both is not possible without some modifications.

Why you want to use two diffrent hosts for froxlor itself and customer databases?

I'd say for better performance, additional security and scalability. Most web hosters are using dedicated database machines, so this is a valid question/request. But, as said, Froxlor doesn't support spreading services over multiple machines.
