[HowTo] "apt-key adv --keyserver gpg-keyserver.de --recv-keys 4F9E9BBC" timeout - workaround

Question

Hi Froxlor users and all who want to use it in the future,

running "apt-key adv --keyserver gpg-keyserver.de --recv-keys 4F9E9BBC" like described in http://redmine.froxlor.org/projects/froxlor/wiki/Installation_via_APT_%28Debian%29 does not work for me - somehow it is running in a timeout

myserver:~# apt-key adv --keyserver gpg-keyserver.de --recv-keys 4F9E9BBC

Executing: gpg --ignore-time-conflict --no-options --no-default-keyring --secret-keyring /etc/apt/secring.gpg --trustdb-name /etc/apt/trustdb.gpg --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --keyserver gpg-keyserver.de --recv-keys 4F9E9BBC

gpg: requesting key 4F9E9BBC from hkp server gpg-keyserver.de

gpg: keyserver timed out

gpg: keyserver receive failed: keyserver error

As a workaround I downloaded the key directly from http://gpg-keyserver.de/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xF6B4A8704F9E9BBC und put its contents into a textfile, which I added successfully with the following command:

apt-key add 4F9E9BBC.key

Best regards,

Werner
