nginx development continuing?

jcj

Question

Good day all,

I downloaded the nginx build from http://svn.froxlor.org/branches/d00p/nginx/ and did some testing on a dev box. Other than my stupidity for having nginx installed in a non-standard location for Debian, it seems to work. Is development continuing on this branch or was it just an experiment? Nginx desperately needs a hosting control panel that is fully compatible. Nginx is hard to beat for a low memory VPS. Froxlor is fairly lightweight as well so the combination seems ideal. :)

I couldn't find much in the way of forum posts regarding Froxlor/nginx other than one post with a poll to determine interest.

Jeff

I would support nginx inclusion.

Because nginx would only be another webserver option this should not brake apache or lighty and could be "tested" in the stable branch. Once releases there should be more perolpe who are willing to test this.

Could be done together with the php-fpm stuff (nginx need this for php anyway) from the other branch ;-)

please continue development on this feature! its one of the main reasons I would use this panel is I'm sick of administering my web servers by hand but i love the performance that nginx gives me. this is amust feature for a control panel of this type.

with out nginx support it kind of defeats the purpose of having such a lightweight control panel considering lighttpd has some memory leak issues that can cause problems on busy servers.

so please continue to work on this, for every voice you know of wanting this there are probably hundreds of people that want it!

I would, and i know there might be a lot of people out there wanting nginx support. But there are even more for other features, so I have to be reasonable - I just don't have the time to do it all. Sorry.

I would very much like to see this feature continued as i prefer to run nginx instead of apache and lighttpd. I've desperately been looking for a control panel that natively supports and uses nginx and Froxlor is the only one that i've found so far. Please don't drop it!
