Hostname-server name

Hostname-server name cannot be used as a customer domain??? I am lost.

server.host.name is my hostname but I need an account set up for my www.host.name website so why can't it be used?

It doesn't make sense why I can't create that account.

that is no problem at all, please show settings and exact error message

That’s a common point of confusion. The reason your hostname (server.host.name) can’t be used as a customer domain is because hostnames identify the server itself, not individual websites or accounts. Customer domains need to be separate DNS names (like www.host.name) that point to the server, so the system can distinguish between the server and the websites it hosts.

Basically, the server’s hostname is reserved for internal identification and can’t be assigned as a site domain. You should create the account using your actual website domain (www.host.name) instead.

That's exactly it, you can simply add "www.host.name" as domain for the customer and it will be all fine
