Every time I set any settings and go to save I get an error. I chown like it says hen move on to the next settings area and save them and get the permissions error yet AGAIN. Here is the error, please tell me how to fix this issue:

The configuration file lib/userdata.inc.php cannot be read from the webserver.

This mostly happens due to wrong ownership.
Try the following command to correct the ownership:

chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/froxlor/

Check your settings, you most likely do NOT want to have "www-data" as user and group if you are using php-fpm (as you should). Check your settings in "Froxlor vhost settings" regarding php-fpm and user/group.

If you want to (temporarily) persist your chown - disable the cron-daemon so it does not recreate your vhost configs :)

What should I use instead of www-data? Thx

Also can I use Softaculous with this?

it's not included with froxlor, no as it is a paid product and froxlor is free and open source.

depends on your system and settings...the default installation sets everything correctly, so you've changed something, without knowing what, I cant really help

Yes I know it's not included but I pay for Softaculous per year as well as Control Web Panel but wanted to try this out, but if I can't intergrate Softaculous then I won't be able to use this
