new install LE question

Featured Replies

Hi,

Reinstalled froxlor from scratch instead of the migration.

When trying to enable LE for a domain I get:

Error

Let's Encrypt cannot handle wildcard-domains using ACME in froxlor (requires dns-challenge), sorry. Please set the ServerAlias to WWW or disable it completely

Editing the domain shows: "Alias for domain - No alias domain" but the drop list is empty, nothing to choose or set.

What do I do next please?

Regards,

Dudi

edit domain as admin....you may have not allowed the customer to edit it

I am doing all this as admin.

Dudi

no idea what you are doing there pal, really....you seem to have very odd issues...

Also, "Alias for domain" ist NOT the same as "ServerAlias" - please read the settings page carefully....

Allow editing of domain box is checked for all customers.

I compared the settings page with the old (still working) server and they are identical.

I can PM you the login details, please take a quick look incase I missed something obvious.

TIA & regards,

Dudi

Hi,

Dovecot 10-ssl.conf now points to /etc/dovecot/private/dovecot.pem, I remember I saw somewhere a setting that lets froxlor use the host cert for dovecot & postfix, but I can not find it now no matter what I do.

Where is it hiding please? or - can I manually edit the files and point it to the LE cert?

I am a console person for too many years...

TIA & regards,

Dudi

dovecots default conf.d/10-ssl.conf is irrelevant as froxlor overwrites this completely in its conf.d/99-froxlor.conf.

Thanks

Ih 99-froxlor.conf I see:

ssl_cert = </etc/ssl/froxlor_selfsigned.pem

ssl_key = </etc/ssl/froxlor_selfsigned.key

How can I switch dovecot to LE?

Regards,

Dudi

adjust settings and restart service?

  • Author

I can adjust manually as I can't find it in the UI now. Will this be kept?

I changed the cert & key path in Settings -> SSL settings

as long as you do not re-configure the service (as you shouldn't usually after rollout)

I changed the cert & key path in Settings -> SSL settings

that has absolutely nothing to do with dovecot...

I pointed postfix & dovecot to the LE certs, its still there, I hope it will stay.

Worst case I'll immune the conf files.

Dudi
