Debian / Froxlor email issue

I have an issue with Froxlor on top of Debian. Email does not work, I get the following error

 

mail_location not set and autodetection failed

 

I looked at the dovecot-sql.conf thinking the queries must be wrong and returning errors rather than results. I have run both quirers manually and they results seem to be what you would expect. Currently both the dovecot.conf and the dovecot-sql.conf are exactly as per the setup instructions.
