Upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04

Featured Replies

Hello,

I own a system running Ubuntu 14.04 for a couple of year. Now a installed a second system with Ubuntu 16.04 and wanted to transfer all configuration and data from the old system to the new one.
Installed Ubuntu 16.04 and froxlor, configured everything using the templates for Debian 9... Worked

Now I backed up the fresh MariaDB-Databases and  transferred all MySQL-Databases from the old system to the new one and imported them all. Now I ended with an Froxlor-Installation which contains every customer, accounts and domains. Fine.

I have -at least- 2 issues now:

First /etc/cron.d/froxlor was created with "/usr/bin/php5" instead of "/usr/bin/php/" (I found this one in table panel_settings/system/croncmdline and changed it manually, but found no GUI for that - it's fixed, but are there further stones in my path?)
Second - and that's where I'm stuck now - /var/lib/extrausers is not filled with data.

Has anybody a good idea? Thanks in advance!

Settings dont change If the Database is the same.

Well, did the cronjob run? Have you tried running it manually from Shell with --force and --debug?

Of course not. I just didn't know where and how /etc/cron.d/froxlor is built. Are there further setting in the froxlor database which are not visible but suspected to have been changed between 14.04 an 16.04?

Stupid me! libnss-extrausers was activated in the first database, but I missed to activate it again after the import of the old data. I was pretty sure to have looked at this

Again, Thank you very much!

No, settings are distro-independent.
