nisamudeen97
Hi, The folder "/var/mail" is having two files "root" and "www-data". But disk usage for the same is found very high. It is showing gb's files. While checking it is found to be mail box for root and www-data user. See the screen shot. Is it okay to clear it ? d00p
well, why don't you just view one of the mails in the folder to find out whether it's safe to delete them? Most likely it's cron-mails and similar. You might want to set an alias in /etc/aliases for the user www-data and root to point to an outside email account (run "newaliases" afterwards and restart postfix)
nisamudeen97
Hi, Like the screen shot it is just files. Mails are getting saved to this particular file.
d00p
then there's something weird in your mail-config...usually mails don't get appended to one big file...
nisamudeen97
Hi, It is old froxlor version 0.9.34 Running in debain 6. While verifying the file I could see those are emails getting appended to the file. I have cleared the file for now. Thx for the updates.
d00p
has nothing to do with froxlor...our default configs do not do things like that
