Preferred service/daemon options for Froxlor

Featured Replies

I'm installing Froxlor on a test system and am thinking of using it on a server. It's impressive to see that Froxlor supports a couple of GNU/Linux distros and the usual array of options in Linux daemons/services.

My question is: Which daemons are "more supported" or preferred?

Yes, I know the standard answer will be "they're all supported", but with that said, I've found that with limited development time often some distros and/or daemons are preferred or are more mainstream/better supported than others.

Exim-heavy or Postfix? Pro or pure FTP daemon? Which are more typical? For example, for me as an admin using a control panel, I want to muck around with the SMTP server as little as possible; as such, I have no preferences. I just want to use the one that's most solid and least problem-prone.

As a Froxlor newbie, does anyone have any opinions on this? Thanks in advance.

Webserver: apache

Mailserver: dovecot + postfix

FTP-server: proftpd

DNS-server: bind9

anything else? :)
