Moodle vs open_basedir

Hello everyone,

 

Im having issues on moodle instalation. Maybe you can help me.

 

As security measure, Moodle try to install a folder called "moodledata" outside the DocumentRoot, but can not due to open_basedir restriction.

I could disable open_basedir for these users, but it would be a security breach.
The solution may be to create a php configuration for each user and specify the open_basedir path manually, but it would be very laborious.

Has anyone ever experienced this? any tips? thx

that's what the php.ini editor is for...create a new config, append custom paths to the openbase-dir setting and assign the config to the corresponding domains
